Elina Comms - Stage 1

Rolling out: Stage 1: Elina Comms 

Online Travel Agent (OTA) Inbox

We are getting ready to make available for customer who Elina Channel Manager, and for those who have this included in service agreement, a large improvement to Elina Communications, which includes unified inbox, initially for Booking.com, AirBnB and Expedia.

Question: Are you using Duve?

Yes - then the below tool may not be of use to you, as you are likely managing communications from their platform with the 2-way integration to Elina PMS.

No - then this new optional feature will be helpful to you in managing communications with guests.

 

 

What will be included in stage 1?

OTA Inbox

  • The introduction of a new user interface for receiving and replying to messages from online travel agent channels, that support messaging, initially Airbnb, Booking.com and Expedia.
  • Messages support receiving images, which is time limited. Messages support emojis, reactions, text. 
  • When a guest initiates a chat, you will get a in-software notification, and be able to view and reply to the message from the unified inbox.
  • If the guest has a booking we will display all the reservation info in-screen to help you. If they do not have a booking, or you wish to link their message to other information, such as an invoice, room or property, package, then you can.
  • There will be notifications in the dashboards and navigation of messages to help system users know to go and respond.

Additional expected in stage 1:

  • Email notifications
  • Translations
  • Open AI integration to help write messages (relies on your own Open AI account)

What will be included in stage 2?

Messaging and Tasking

  • We will introduce automated push messages. This will allow you to create messages that send based on trigger rules to guests.
  • We will pull in messages from Elina Online Check-in, allowing guests to use this for dialogue and get quick replies to their questions.
  • You will be able to manually create and send a task to another person (ie team member), either as part of communication flow, or just as a task. This is an upgrade to Elina notes, with an easy-to-use interface. An example might be: to notify a team member to go and re-clean a room, or a revenue team member to check and update rates. You can track the task, as it has statuses, and also complete it.
  • Implementing more help through AI.
  • Implementing image storage.

What will be included in stage 3?

Unified inbox, Messaging and Tasking

  • We will bring in other channels, including WhatsApp, email and SMS text messages. Costs of using channels may be additional, if there is a cost of using to Elina. There is certainly a cost for SMS text messages.
